24-year-old held on murder charges

A 24-year-old local man was arrested Saturday in connection with the September 2016 murder of Lloyd Tyson, police said.

Police said Tyson was shot and killed Sept. 2 in the 1600 block of Shipview Way in Baltmore.

Tavon Howard was in possession of a loaded .40-caliber handgun at the time of his arrest, police said.

Howard has been charged with first-degree murder, police said. He was also charged for the handgun violation, police said, adding that  Howard is currently awaiting trial at Central Booking on a no-bail status.
