Victim of fatal motorcycle accident is identified by police

A 44-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in an accident in Essex Tuesday has been identified by police, authorities said.

Jeffery Scott Vipperman of 200 block of Mount Olivet Church in Airville, Pennsylvania, was travelling down Orems Road in Essex Tuesday night when he lost control of his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle and crashed into a guardrail, police said.

Baltimore County police officers performed CPR after responding to the call around 8:20 p.m. by a passerby. Baltimore County Fire Department EMS continued to perform CPR until he was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview View Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
