A 23-year-old male was arrested on Saturday and charged with first-degree murder in connection with a January homicide, police said.
Katrell Smith, 23, was transported and is being held in the Central Booking and Intake Facility, police said.
Police identified Smith as the suspect who fatally shot Angelo Wheeler, 38, on Jan. 19 at approximately 2:45 a.m.
Wheeler was found with gunshot wounds to his body in the 1600 block of Chilton Street in Baltimore, police said. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said.
Investigators believe Smith and Wheeler were involved in an argument before Smith shot Wheeler and fled the scene.
