Baltimore police are investigating whether two separate non-fatal shootings are connected.

Police said they were called to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim in the Southwest District on Tuesday. Upon arrival officers located the first victim, a 17-year-old male, with a gunshot wound to his left arm, according to police.

While investigating the first incident, officers said they received a second call for a walk-in shooting victim at a different area hospital. Officers located the second victim, an 18-year-old male, who was suffering from a graze wound to the elbow.

Both victims are expected to survive their injuries, police said.

Citywide shooting detectives were called to investigate both shootings and ask anyone with information regarding the double shooting to call detectives at (410) 396-2221 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
