A man walked into a Baltimore area hospital today after being shot at the intersection of Stockton and Baltimore streets, city police said.

Police said they were called to the intersection of Fayette Street and Carrollton Avenue at about 1:24 p.m. after they received reports of a shooting.

While canvasing the area, police said they identified the actual crime scene as Stockton and Baltimore streets and learned that a 20-year-old man had left the scene in a car and was suffering from a gunshot wound to the left shoulder.

Detectives went to the hospital and determined that the man there was the same one shot earlier in the day.

The man refused to cooperate with detectives, police said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Citywide Shooting detectives at 410-396-2221.

Those who wish to remain anonymous can utilize the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line, at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
