Two people suffered non-fatal injuries when they were shot near Hollins Ferry Road in Baltimore Monday, police said.

The victims included a 23-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, both of whom were  able to leave the location and drive themselves to the hospital for treatment, police said.

Police were dispatched to the 3100 block of Hollins Ferry road for reports of gunfire, and just after dispatch, at 3:30 p.m., police were called to an area hospital to see the victims.

The victims reported that they heard the gunfire just before realizing they were wounded, police said.

Responding officers searched the area, but could not locate witnesses or more victims.

City shooting detectives were summoned and assumed control of the investigation, and urge anyone with information to contact them.
