A 26-year-old man was killed Sunday evening when he was hit by a car on Middle River Road, police said.
According to Baltimore County police, Devon Corey Perkins of Lanoitan Road was crossing Middle River Road just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday when a south-bound 2011 Honda Accord struck Perkins.
Police say the driver attempted to avoidthe pedestrian by swerving but still struck Perkins with the passenger side of the vehicle.
Perkins was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he later died from his injuries, police said.
The name of the driver of the vehicle has not yet been released and the Baltimore County police crash team is still investigating the incident.
