Officers recognized for drop in county crime rate

Baltimore County saw its total crime rate for 2015 drop by 4.1 percent compared to the total average over the past five years,  police said.

Among those recognized for the crime reduction were Capt. Jonathan Trentzsch of the Woodlawn Precinct, Capt. John McGann of the Pikesville Precinct, Capt. Dennis Delp of the Cockeysville Precinct, Capt. Christopher Kelly of the White Marsh Precinct and Capt. Orlando Lilly of the Dundalk Precinct, police said.

Lilly received a 1.1 percent decrease in crime for his precinct, while the other captains received a 0.2 percent decrease in crime levels, officials said.
