A 41-year-old man was injured yesterday when he was struck by a vehicle while he was allegedly involved in a car robbery and assault in Baltimore, city police said.

Police said the injured man was one of three suspects who allegedly assaulted the driver of a 2006 Hyundai Sonata who was parked in the 200 block of Clay Street at about 6 p.m. Monday. Police said the perpetrators also took the victim’s cell phone and money.

According to police, the victim was attempting to drive away when he struck one of the suspects who was trying to flee the scene. Police said the victim then called police for help.

The suspect was transported to a shock trauma center and charges are forthcoming once he is discharged from the hospital, police said.

Police said detectives are looking to identify the other two suspects. They both are described as black males who look to be in their 40’s, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at (410) 396-2241 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
