Baltimore County police said this week that they are continuing their investigation into the 11-year-old murder of Tiona Smith.

According to police, Smith’s body was found to the rear of 6800 Fox Meadow Road in Baltimore by neighborhood children on the morning of Nov. 6, 2005.

The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide, saying the cause of death was multiple sharp force injuries to the 23-year-old woman’s head and upper body.

Police said Smith was last seen by witnesses getting into a small four-door car occupied by three males, one of whom knew her by name.

Police said they were unable to develop any leads and Smith’s family did not have any names of individuals who would want to harm their daughter.

Baltimore County police are urging anyone with information to contact police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

Metro Crime Stoppers are offering up to a $2,000 reward to any tip that leads to an arrest of a suspect.
