Man dead in Woodlawn shooting

A 21-year-old Baltimore man died earlier today after he was found lying in the street in the 1000 block of Coleridge Court in Woodlawn with gunshot wounds to his upper body, police said.

Police said Gary Tyshawn Bowser of the 700 block of Westhills Parkway was discovered after 6 p.m. and transported to a local hospital, where he died an hour later.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived at the scene.

The Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit is investigating the case and is working to establish if the crime was targeted, police said.

Baltimore County police are urging anyone with information to contact police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

Metro Crime Stoppers are offering up to a $2,000 reward to any tip that leads to an arrest of a suspect.
