A transgender woman was killed this morning when she was shot in the back of the head in Baltimore, police said.
Police said the incident occurred at about 3:18 a.m. in the 3600 block of Fairview Avenue. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she died, police said.
Homicide detectives will be investigating the incident, police said.
Detectives conducted a canvass of the area on Friday, police said.
