A 39-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Dundalk and Holabird avenues in Baltimore at approximately 8:50 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Anthony Wayne of the 2600 block of Molton Way was attempting to cross the intersection when a white Chevrolet van traveling westbound in the 6700 block of Holabird Avenue crossed into the eastbound lane of Holabird Avenue and struck Wayne, police said.

Police said Wayne was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Officers found the van unoccupied and parked in the 6200 block of Beckley Street, police said.

Detectives are continuing to search for the drivers or any occupants of the vehicle, police said.

Any witnesses are asked to call the Baltimore Police CRASH Team at 410-396-2606 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
