Three killed in separate shooting incidents

Three Baltimore city residents from three different districts were fatally shot last night shortly after polls closed for the Maryland primaries, police said.

The victims were 24, 26 and 38 years old and were shot within two hours and 10 minutes of one another, police said.

Police said Southeast District officers were called to the 3200 block of East Baltimore Street at 9:35 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, police located the victim, 26-year-old Asia Brockington, suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

At approximately 9:50 p.m., 15 minutes later, Southwest District officers were called to the 500 block of Loudon Avenue for a report of discharging, police said.

As police canvassed the area, they located 38-year-old Damon Gingles. Gingles had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso.

Medics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

The third incident occurred at about  11:45 p.m., when  Northwest District patrol units responded to the 4700 block of Liberty Heights Avenue for a report of a shooting, police said.

Police said 24-year-old Carlos Younger suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the back. He  was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
