At least seven people were injured after a car crashed through the front of a hair salon in Dundalk Saturday, police said.

Authorities said that the preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of the car attempted to back out of a space.

The vehicle then went forward, hopping the curb and through the front of the Trendz Hair Salon in the 7600 block of German Hill Road, police said.

The woman behind the wheel and six other women were injured, and one woman was briefly trapped, police said. All of the injured were taken to hospitals for treatment and are expected to survive, authorities said.

The crash is currently under investigation and is expected to take several weeks, police said.
