A Baltimore city woman was arrested Monday in connection with the death of her 4-year-old daughter in a fire in 2015, police said.

Brittany Montgomery, 25, of the 800 block of Dartmouth Road, was charged with manslaughter, three counts of child neglect and three counts of leaving minors unattended, police said.

Police said authorities were called to Montgomery’s house at about 7:52 p.m. on Aug. 28, 2015 for a reported fire.

Montgomery’s three children were injured in the blaze, including 4-year-old Szki Wright, who died from the severe injuries she sustained, police said.

Police said Montgomery’s 1-year-old son received burns on over 30 percent of his body while her 3-year-old daughter suffered minor injuries.

Police said their investigation indicated that Montgomery had left her children alone to visit friends when the fire occurred.

She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 19 in district court.
