A 25-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after an investigation for possession of a handgun and drugs in Baltimore City on March 9, police said.

Police arrested Terez Simpson at approximately 5:45 p.m. yesterday in the Northwest District of Baltimore City.

The district detectives conducted an investigation of Simpson at the 4900 block of Palmer Avenue where they found him to be in possession of a .32-caliber handgun, which they found to be loaded with five rounds, police said. It was not stated whether he had used the gun or planned to use it.

In addition to the gun, Simpson also faces drug charges of cocaine possession, police said, adding that they found him with six vials of crack cocaine and a napkin that contained 5 grams of crack cocaine.

Police said Simpson was taken to Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center where he is currently waiting to see a court commissioner.
