A city man was charged with first-degree murder after police said they found a 32-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his right forearm that same day.

Keith Chase, 29 of the 300 block of Martingale Avenue, was arrested by detectives from the Warrant Apprehension Task Force and transported to Central Booking and Intake Facility. Chase was arrested in the 3700 block of Old Frederick Avenue, police said. No bail has been set.

City police said they were called to the 3600 block of Frederick Avenue for an alleged firearm discharging on Feb. 27.

After a brief search of the area, police officers located a man inside a car in the 100 block of S. Morely Street. The victim was suffering from gunshot wounds to the right forearm. The victim’s name was not released and he is expected to make a full recovery.
