City police arrest 5 in drug investigation

Baltimore City Police made five arrests at four different locations on Tuesday after an ongoing drug investigation conducted by the Eastside Ceasefire Unit.

According to investigators, Kevin Evans Sr., 45, of the 3400 block of Leverton Street, Kevron Evans, 22, of the 3100 block of Ravenwood Avenue, Ricardo Simon, 36, of the 800 block of N. Bradford Avenue, Emajae Mcinnis, 18, of the 1600 block of N. Pulaski Street, and Eric Walker, 18, of the 800 block of N. Bradford Street, were arrested early Tuesday morning and transported to Central Booking and Intake Facility where they are currently being held.

Police said the arrests were made at the 2300 block of E. Monument Street, 3100 block of Ravenwood Avenue, 2800 block of Erdman Avenue and 800 block of N. Bradford Avenue.

While conducting the search police said they recovered three loaded handguns, a large quantity of heroin, money and drug packaging materials. Two of the handguns seized were previously reported stolen, police said.

During the investigation, city police were assisted by officers from the Operational Investigation Section and SWAT Team. Search warrants were obtained and served at each location during the investigation.
