An 11-year-old Parkville boy was found unharmed by police several hours after he was last seen leaving school, authorities said.

According to police, Samuel Hamilton left Carney Elementary School in the 3100 block of East Joppa Road in Parkville around 4 p.m. on Monday  and was walking to his home in the 9000 block of Red Clover Court.

Hamilton was considered a critical missing child because  he has a medical condition and  no history of being absent from home, police said.

Baltimore County police were actively searching for him in the Parkville area and found him later Monday evening.
