Man stole ring from J.C. Penney, police say

RING_THEFT23_1-30-16Baltimore County police are searching for a man who was captured on surveillance cameras allegedly stealing a $3,000 ring from a jewelry counter of the J.C. Penney store in Eastpoint Mall.

The man approached the counter at the store at about 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 30, police said. The suspect asked to see a ring from a display, police said, adding that when the employee removed the jewelry from the cabinet, the suspect grabbed it and fled.

The incident is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department Organized Retail Crimes Team.
