A 64-year-old pedestrian was killed Friday afternoon when he was hit by a truck on Craigmont Road in Catonsville, Baltimore County police said.
Zulfiquar Ali, of the 1000 block of Hartmont Road in Catonsville, was waiting on Craigmont Road for his ride when he crossed the street and was struck by a truck traveling toward Ingleside Avenue, police said.
Ali was thrown backward and struck the sidewalk after the impact, police said. According to police, he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck that struck Ali remained at the scene.
The Baltimore County police are still investigating the incident.
