An Edgewood man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and other related charges, police said.

Baltimore County Police charged Christopher Harrison Jr., 28, of the 900 block of Top View Drive for lighting two people on fire along Pulaski Highway last Friday.

Police said Harrison’s vehicle had run out of gasoline at in White Marsh. When he returned to his vehicle with a container of gasoline, police said, Harrison encountered the first victim with whom he was involved in an ongoing dispute at work.

According to police, Harrison threw gasoline on the first victim and then lit the gas on fire.  The first victim punched Harrison in the face after that, police said.

During the dispute, the second victim was splashed with gasoline that had ignited, injuring him as well, police said.

Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded around 4:42 p.m. on Dec. 4. Both victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious burns, police said. Police said the condition of the victims are unknown.

Harrison is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail. The time of Harrison’s arrest is not given.

The case is still under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit.
