Lauren Paulette Valiquet, 28, and Walter McMillan Dorsey, 33, both of the 100 block of Fuller Avenue in Baltimore, were charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and firearm use in commission of a felony, police said.

The charges were filed, police said, after a forensic examination and multiple interviews by authorities.

Deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct said they found the body of Travis Harrell Best on Harford Boat Club Road on Aug. 12 after they received a call regarding a decomposed body.

Best was reported missing by his family on Aug. 9, police said. He was last seen in the early morning hours of Aug. 6, a day after he arranged to visit Valiquet and their children at the 7000 block of Harford Road, police said.

Police said Dorsey and Best had previously engaged in a physical altercation.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is now handling the case.

Dorsey and Valiquet are currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center after being arrested on an unrelated charge. They are suspects in the robbery of a Parkville Baskin Robbins on Nov. 11, police said.

Police said Dorsey is connected to six recent robberies, including three 7-Eleven locations. He is being charged with two counts of robbery and four counts of armed robbery, police said.

Valiquet is being charged with one count of robbery, police said.

Police said Dorsey is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $5 million bond for the robberies. Valiquet is being held on $1.5 million for her role in the robbery, police said.
