A 39-year-old Sparrows Point man died Thursday afternoon after a motorcycle crash on Bethlehem Boulevard in Edgemere earlier in the day, police said.

Police said David James Mundy of the 2800 block of Ninth Street was seriously injured when officers arrived on the scene shortly after the accident occurred at about 2:21 a.m.

He was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and declared dead, police said.

Police said Mundy was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the eastbound lane on Bethlehem Boulevard approaching Shipyard Road. The motorcycle then went off the road and ejected the driver.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is investing the incident.
