Police are investigating the Nov. 24 shooting of a man inside a Pikesville hotel.

Police said they responded to a local hospital at 2 p.m. on Nov. 25 after  the victim had admitted himself.  Police said the man came to the facility with one gunshot wound.

An initial investigation of the incident discovered that the shooting had taken place the day before at the Ramada Inn in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road.

The victim was in the hotel with a friend who was expecting to meet someone at their location.  The suspect came into the room, fired one shot into the lower body of the victim and then fled the scene, police said.

The victim is expected to survive and police are telling anyone with information of the incident to contact Metro Crime Stoppers.
