A 28-year-old Nottingham man was arrested Oct. 29 when he assaulted a minor during a pickup basketball game at Carney Elementary School, police said.

Brent Leland Vinson of the Unit Block of Thurmont Court was charged with first- and second-degree assault after he struck the 15-year-old victim in the face and knocking him unconscious, authorities said.

Vinson then dragged the victim to a fence, pushed him into it, and began threatening the victim’s friends, police said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and later released.

Vinson’s bail has been set at $500,000 authorities report.
