A Baltimore City Police officer is in critical condition after being involved in a motor vehicle accident this afternoon, police said.
The officer, who was not named, is a 15-year veteran of the Baltimore City Police Department.
Police said the officer was driving his motorcycle on Belair Road in White Marsh when the driver of a Jaguar turned and hit the officer. The officer was transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
According to police, the driver of the Jaguar was not injured in the crash. The driver of the Jaguar was not named and has not been charged.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.
