A 37-year-old Randallstown man was charged with first-degree child abuse and second-degree murder of his 3-month-old daughter.
Derran Patrick Claggett, of the 3900 block of Noyes Circle Randallstown is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $500,000 bail.
Police said the infant was not breathing when she was brought to the Northwest Hospital Center on Sept. 20.Police said the child had head and chest trauma and was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she died three days later.
The autopsy determined that the child’s death was a homicide and that she had suffered multiple injuries, police said.
