PD sponsor bike event Saturday

Community Outreach officers from the Wilken Precinct are inviting kids and parents to join them on a trolley trail ride Saturday.

The event will start with the children and parents meeting the officers at Catonsville Elementary School, 2301 Edmondson Avenue, between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. The event is open to children in elementary school and middle school.

The Trail begins at 9 a.m. Riders will begin by biking on Edmondson Avenue toward the Trolley Trail. The participants will continue on the trail before turning around at the end on Frederick Road and returning to Catonsville Elementary.

There will be two stops on the trail: one at the intersection of Trolley Trail and Oella Road and the second when riders reach the end on Frederick Road. before returning.

The event is free and registration is not required. There will be a special appearance from McGruff the crime dog, who will greet children and parents and cheer on the bikers. The officers want to remind everyone participating to bring your helmet.
