Baltimore County police identified the mother of the young girl found in the parking lot of a CVS Pharmacy located in the 3900 block of Hollins Ferry Road in Arbutus on Sunday.

Brittany Jackson was found dead in her home on the 2900 block of Freeway Road on Monday at 9 a.m. after officers located the home of  3-year-old Jaycia Jackson, who had been found the day before at about 10:30 p.m. in the CVS parking lot.

The relationship between the girl and the woman found in the apartment was unclear until 4:45 p.m. yesterday, police said.

According to an interview done by WBAL-TV, the neighborhood is on edge because of the lack of information.

The cause of death of the woman has not yet been determined. The Baltimore County Medical Examiner is performing the autopsy.

The investigation is ongoing. The Baltimore County Homicide unit is performing the investigation. Police are looking for tips from the public 410-887-0872.
