A 26-year-old man from Halethorpe, Maryland, died Tuesday in a car crash on Washington Boulevard in Halethorpe, police said.
According to police, Patrick Edward Smith of the 1700 block of Winans Avenue was the operator of a 2012 Honda motorcycle traveling north behind a 2006 Freightliner cargo truck.
Smith ran into the back of the cargo truck after both vehicles changed lanes, police said.
Police said Smith was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was declared dead.
The crash remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.
