Baltimore County police are  searching for a white man who is between 30 and 40 years old and is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, after he reportedly tried to pull a minor into his truck.

The 17-year-old girl, whose name was not released, told police that the incident occurred on Stemmers Run Road near Kenwood High School while she was walking home from school on Sept. 1 between 12:40 and 12:50 p.m.

The man, described as wearing a grey hat, brown shirt and dark blue jeans, had opened both his front and rear door and grabbed the girl by the arm and attempted to pull her into his car, police said. The girl retaliated by punching the man in the face and calling her mother, police said, adding that the man got back into the car and left.

Police say that the suspect was driving a “red Chevrolet Silverado with black outside mirrors, chrome running boards, and 1812 style Maryland tags.”

The Baltimore County Robbery Unit is still investigating the incident.
