A Towson University graduate student was found dead in her Stevenson Lane apartment Friday afternoon, police said.

Darcie Lena Moloshok, 28, was pronounced dead by Baltimore County paramedics at about 2:37 p.m. while she was lying in her bed. Her body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of her death, police said.

“We were saddened to learn yesterday of the death of a Towson University graduate student,” said Raymond C. Feldman, Towson’s director of communications and media relations. “We are communicating with the student’s family and offering them our full support.”

Baltimore County police said they went to the apartment in the 300 block of Stevenson Lane in Towson on a report of a possible cardiac arrest, which was called in by  Moloshok’s mother.

Although a substance that police believe is heroin was found in the apartment, it has not been declared as the cause of death, police said. Moloshok’s death has been classified as a sudden death incident.
