Baltimore County police said today that there have not been any protest-related activities in the county.
“I want to assure citizens and local businesses that there is no need to curtail their daily business as a result of the ongoing unrest in Baltimore City,” Police Chief Jim Johnson said. “We have experienced no unusual activity here, and there are no indications that anything unusual is planned.”
Police said they are continuing to monitor social media for any indication of protests that may be planned in the county. Police said that officers and additional personnel are on standby
“Our county is uneventful and safe,” Johnson said. “There is no need for businesses, schools and other institutions to disrupt normal operations.”
In addition, Baltimore County police said the department sent about 50 officers back to the city for additional support with the protests. The same number of county officers was deployed Monday and Tuesday.
