A 61-year-old man was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon when he was assaulted by two female juveniles outside of his home in the 500 block of 45th Street, police said.

The man, who was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover, was attacked as he attempted to break up a fight that was occurring on his vehicle between the two juveniles at about 12:48 p.m., police said. Police said the girls stopped fighting each other and assaulted the man.

Baltimore County police said they received several calls for the disturbance before they responded to the 500 block of 45th Street. Police said when they arrived they found an injured adult male victim sitting on some steps.

The incident is still under investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-307-2020.
