A man and a woman who were pushing a baby in a stroller were injured Saturday when they were struck by a Baltimore County police cruiser on the 6600 block of Security Boulevard in Gwynn Oak, police said.

Desaree Tasha Blick, 18, of the 100 block of Courtland Road in Towson was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Stephon Nathaniel Beale, 18, of the 6700 block of Park Heights Avenue in Baltimore and 9-month-old Deomonte Terrell Blick were brought to Johns Hopkins Hospital, police said.

The infant did not appear to suffer any injuries while the two teenagers are expected to survive, police said.

Police said the incident occurred when a cruiser was responding to a reported assault at the Hot Skates on Whitehead Road in Gwynn Oak. Police said the officer in the cruiser had activated the vehicle’s lights and sirens at the time of accident on Security Boulevard between Woodlawn Drive and Whitehead Road.

The officer was not injured, police said.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
