Baltimore County Police say they believe the three people found dead in a Parkville home Friday afternoon were part of a murder-suicide.

The victims were Gilbert Mendoza, 50, Vedrana Mendoza, 40, and Molly Mendoza, 15, of the 1800 block of Cromwood Road, police said. Police said they found a gun and a knife at the scene, which they believe are connected with the deaths. The gun was registered to a person in the house, police said.

Police said Vedrana Mendoza had multiple stab and gunshot wounds while Gilbert Mendoza had multiple stab wounds and one single gunshot wound. Police found Molly Mendoza, 15, in the second-floor bedroom with a single gunshot wound.

Although the autopsies have not been finalized, the investigators do not believe that Molly Mendoza was the aggressor in the incident.

Police were called to the house when Vedrana Mendoza did not show up for work. Her employer asked police to check on her whereabouts, according to a post on the department’s social media page.

This story was originally reported by Jay Greene on Friday. The story was updated by Samantha Liptrap on Monday.
