Man killed in car crash

A 93-year-old man was killed Tuesday when the 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlas he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer making a u-turn on Eastern Avenue near Diamond Point Road, police said.

Edwin Thomas Klunk Jr. of the 300 block of Walton Avenue was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 10:47 p.m., police said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, police said.

Police said Klunk was driving westbound on Eastern Avenue when the the tractor-trailer attempted to make a wide u-turn near the intersection with Diamond Point Road. Klunk, who had a green light, collided with the truck, police said.
