A running back for the Baltimore Ravens was arrested for drunk drivingWednesday morning, police said.

Bernard Hayward Pierce, 23, was pulled over shortly after 2 a.m. for speeding at Dulaney Valley Road and Interstate 695 in Towson, police said.

Police said  officers had Pierce step out of his 2014 Ford Mustang. He failed field sobriety testing and was arrested, police said.

Pierce was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, exceeding maximum speed, and driving in excess of reasonable and prudent speed on a highway, police said.

Pierce was cooperative with Baltimore county police and following processing he was released, police said.
