For local skaters in Baltimore City, the idea of a local skate park is merely a dream.

Between Carroll Park, Charm City Skatepark and the Skatepark of Hampden is a stretch of 30 square miles covering center city. This absence of facilities for skateboarders forces police to fine and arrest kids for participating in the sport.

In Greenmount West, local skateboarders have created a safe and economically reasonable skate spot in the shell of an abandoned building in Baltimore. Nico Trevizo has been skating here for three years and has helped create some of the concrete features the park has to offer.
