Three local men have been charged in connection with a burglary at a Catonsville pharmacy last week, police said.

Police said Anthony Leon Eley Jr., 30, of the 8400 block of Merrymount Drive, was charged with second-degree burglary, assault on police and related charged; Ronald Jones, 18, of the 3300 block of Prestman Street, was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of destruction of property; and Troy Michael Brooks Jr., 18, of the 800 block of Payson Street was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of destruction of property.

The suspects were released on Tuesday. Eley was released on a $35,000 bail, Jones on $15,000 bail, and Brooks on $10,000 bail, police said.

Baltimore County Police said they responded to the Catonsville Pharmacy in the 6300 block of Frederick Road at 3 a.m. Friday for the report of a burglary.

The suspects gained access to the business by breaking the glass front door, police said. Police said the suspects handled medications, but police do not know what they took.  Officers learned that the suspects fled the scene in a red Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The suspects’ vehicle was observed by Pikesville officers at 3:30 a.m. in front of the Woodmoor Pharmacy in the 7000 block of Liberty Road. Police believe the suspects planned to burglarize the second pharmacy but fled the scene when police approached them.

Police said the suspects hit a police vehicle when leaving the parking lot. Officers pursued the suspect vehicle to the area of Franklintown Road and Winans Way in Baltimore City.

The suspect’s vehicle lost control, hit another police car and a guardrail at Franklintown Road, police said. The three suspects exited the vehicle and fled the scene but were later apprehended, police said.
