Baltimore County Police have identified the three officers who were involved in the shooting of a man in Baltimore City on March 2.

County police said Cpl. Brian M. Rupp and officers Nacke and Powell are on administrative status while the incident is under investigation by city police.  All three officers are veterans of the county department assigned to the Persons Crimes section of the Criminal Investigation Division.

Police said that preliminary information indicates that the officers were in Baltimore City conducting an investigation in the 5600 block of Frankford Avenue when a suspect with a gun engaged them. Police said the officers fired their weapons at the suspect, who was later treated at an area hospital. His current condition is unknown, police said.

Police said they had an arrest warrant for the suspect in connection with a triple stabbing in the parking lot of Prime Nightclub in the 11400 block of Pulaski Highway on Feb. 28.
