A 5-year-old girl went missing around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday in northeast Baltimore, police said.

The Baltimore Police Department tweeted a description of the girl today, saying she is a “black female, with a purple coat, black tights and a light purple-and-black hat.”

The girl was inside of a 2003 silver Dodge Neon, which was stolen from ND – 5600 Lothian Road. Police said the vehicle was eventually recovered but the young girl was not inside.

Police also said that they would send out an Amber Alert for the missing girl.
